GPON (Gigabit Capable PON) technology is the latest generation of broadband passive optical integrated access technology based on ITU-TG.984.x standard. It has many advantages such as high bandwidth, high efficiency, large coverage, rich user interfaces, etc. It is regarded by most operators as an ideal technology to realize broadband and integrated transformation of access network services. The maximum downlink rate of GPON is 2.5Gbps, and the uplink rate is 1.25Gbps. Each OLT can support up to 128 ONUs. The GPON optical module is mainly used to connect GPON ONU and GPON ONU devices. AscentOptics can provide GPON OLT SFP optical transceivers for OLT devices, which include different type, like B+, C+, C++ and D+ according to different optical power, On the GPON ONU side, we can also provide the ONU SFP for connecting ONU devices, the ONU SFF module (SC Receptacle/Pigtal connector) for ONU optical moden, and the GPON ONU stick module with ONU function and MAC address.
