AscentOptics`s X2 optical transceivers are compatible with the X2 Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) as well as 10G Ethernet. The X2 products are use in datacom optical links and contain an XAUI electrical interface to the host board - 4 x 3.125 Gb/s Ethernet.
X2 modules offer customers a wide variety of 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity options for data center, enterprise wiring closet, and service provider transport applications.X2 modules are the 2nd generation form-factor of 10G optical transceivers,The current mainstream switches and routers no longer use the X2 optical module. The current market demand is mainly to deal with the maintenance of some older switches and other equipment. AscentOptics could offer X2 products line include X2 SR,300m over multimode fiber,10km LR,40km ER and 80km ZR over singlemode fiber.
