10G SFP+ AOC (Active Optical Cables) is designed for 10Gb Ethernet (10GbE) short distance connections. It is assembled from 2 fixed SFP+ modules heads and OM2/OM3 optical fibers. The optical module heads usually use COB or other new optical designs, which have much lower cost and lower power consumption compared to regular SFP+ SR modules. Comparing to copper DAC cables, it could transmit longer distance, up to 100M. It provides an ideal alternative solution for SFP+ direct attach copper cables (DAC) and SFP+ transceivers of short reach. 10G SFP+ AOC, 10G SFP+ has been widely used in today’s data center interconnections. AscentOptics can offer low cost and high performance 10G SFP+ AOC at distances ranging from 1m to 100m.
